St Keverne Church
St. Keverne Church, one of the finest Grade 1 Listed churches in the Truro Diocese had last been re-roofed in 1890. The few, very long lead gutters were typically in large bays and had fractured causing it to leak.
The roof, following stripping, was found to be in excellent condition despite the water ingress, the gutters were re-formed using new Code-6 lead in smaller bays introducing much steeper gutter slope and the roofs were re-covered in Trevillet scantle slates which were properly wet bedded and secured to scantles with hardwood pegs.
It is certainly expected that the new roof will last more than 100 years.
