The commission - a small application to provide a generous conservatory on the side of an existing bungalow located on the edge of a small village, developed into a more interesting and extensive Garden Room and refurbishment of the rather mean bungalow.  Specifically both the new and the existing structure were clad with Western Red Cedar boarding, providing an opportunity of external insulation to be applied to improve the low thermal capacity of the existing structure.
