Callington Town Hall
This scheme was primarily to improve the access
routes throughout the town hall, as well as updating and improving selected areas within the building. A
convenient alternative route through from the main entrance to the committee room and council chamber was
achieved by the creation of a new corridor and extension link. The scheme also reconfigured and refurbished the
kitchen area and provided a new meeting room. The existing meeting room was made into a flexible space through
the installation of a movable partition wall. The service area to the main hall was also improved to make the
space more usable.
The design features curved walls and also makes use of natural
light as much as possible including a new pyramid roof light over the kitchen area and sun tubes in the link
corridor.
Completed in 2010.
